We require that all our typists use computers and networks that we certify and inspect on a regular basis. We find that often times, clients that hire independent contractors realize that the typists they hire may be at risk for a compromise of their workstations and consequently, a compromise of confidential client data. Why would this happen? Because a medical transcription professional is not a network engineer or a hacker. They simply don't have the technical know-how to keep their computers and network secure. * We do not outsource ANY components of our system or services to anyone outside the United States. We require background checks on all our ICs and get to know them face to face. We conduct regular security and compliance inspections on our contractors workstations. All our contractors are required to conform with our strict BYOD security policy. We cannot promise to match the prices from all offshore companies, however we match the market rate that most competent offshore companies charge, especially after taking into account that the rate they contract for is typically not the VBC rate many clients are billed at in any case.
